(Canton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's cross country team competed at the Hoffman Invitational on Saturday at St. Lawrence University and ran to a sixth-place finish.
Justin Richardson (Pavilion, N.Y.) was the top finisher for the Roos as he came in 49th place out of 114 runners completing the 8K race in a time of 28:52.
Byron Danis (Rensselaer Falls, N.Y.) finished in 64th place in a time of 30:01.
Rounding our the Roos team was Joel Landry (Malone, N.Y.) (31:53), Tyler Morse (North Creek, N.Y.) (36:59), Brad Hamilton (Salem, N.Y.) (38:09), and Alex Marroquin (Pine Bush, N.Y.) (39:30).
SUNY Cortland, the third-ranked team in the country and defending national champions, captured the overall mens title with five of the top seven finishers.
Next up for the Roos is the Houghton Invitational on Sept. 26
