Roos Run at CCOC Invitational

(Geneva, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women's cross country team ran at the Cross Country Only Conference (CCOC) invitational at Hobart William Smith on Saturday. The Roos posted an incomplete team score in the 5K race at Seneca Lake State Park.

Vickie Olds (Bronx, N.Y.) was the top finisher for SUNY Canton as she finished in 59th place in a time of 24:41.

Three other SUNY Canton runners finished bunched up just two spots from each other. Julie Vander Wiel (Malone, N.Y.) was 63rd in a time of 24:58. Kristie Melven (Attica, N.Y.) was 65th at 25:09 and Katelyn Anthony (Spencerport, N.Y.) was 67th in 26:26.

The meet was the final regular season meet for the Roos who will next compete in the Sunrise Conference championships Nov. 7 it the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

Men's Ice Hockey
Dave is honored this week after netting three goals in a 7-1 win over Canisius College on Jan. 27.

The freshman forward leads the Roos in goals (24) and hat tricks with three.
Elissa St. Germain
Women's Basketball
Elissa gets the nod as Roo of the Week after two solid road performances.

The freshmn notched her first career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in a 55-35 win over Vermont Technical College.  Elissa canned 8 of 10 free throws and also had two assists in the victory.  She also had three points and three rebounds the day before against the University of Maine at Augusta.
