(Rochester, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's ice hockey team rolled into the new year in a big way Friday night as they trounced the University of Rochester 16-0 in Rochester. The Roos beat Rochester for the third straight time and improved to 6-1 in the Eastern Collegiate Hockey League and 11-10 overall.
Chris Lee (Gansevoort, N.Y.) posted 17 saves for his first career shutout for SUNY Canton.
Eric Cook (Cary, N.C.) notched his first career hat trick as the junior forward finished with three goals and one assist.
Adam Fedor (Orleans, Ontario), Rob Liggio (Canton, N.Y.), Dan Cibelli (Liverpool, N.Y.), and Scott Zaryski (Oswego, N.Y.) had two goals apiece. Fedor added two assists and Liggio, Cibelli and Zaryski each had one.
John Payne (Port Moody, B.C.) contributed four assists for the Roos.
