Men's Basketball Upended by Paul Smith's 80-69

Tony Parker had 13 points against the Bobcats
(Paul Smiths, N.Y.)- Paul Smith's College used a strong second half to beat SUNY Canton 80-69 in a Sunrise Conference men's basketball game Wednesday night in Paul Smiths. The Roos lost their second straight game and fell to 3-7 in the conference and 5-15 overall.
The Bobcats led by two at halftime, 33-31, and then out scored the Roos 47-38 in the second half shooting 46 percent from the floor. They also out rebounded SUNY Canton 43-32.
Carlton Mitchell (Bronx, N.Y.) dropped in four 3-pointers and scored 28 points to lead the Roos.
Tony Parker (Sodus, N.Y.) added 13 points and six rebounds and Jajuan Williams (Jacksonville, N.Y.) added 12 points, six rebounds and four assists.
Steven Edwards, the Sunrise Conference Rookie of the Week, poured in 34 points to lead the Bobcats. Edwards sank 13 of 14 free throws and also had nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. Ryan Hingston contributed 16 points and five boards.
