The SUNY Canton Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is forming a cookbook with the collection of recipes from our student-athletes, their families, and the campus community. These recipes from our community will show the diversity of our entire campus population! Once assembled, the cookbook will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting SUNY Canton SAAC programming and initiatives.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is an organization that serves as a representation of all of the student-athletes on campus. SAAC is comprised of two student-athletes from each of the teams here at SUNY Canton. These representatives promote communication between athletic administration and student-athletes. SAAC strives to ensure equality and success for all student-athletes, both academically and athletically, while promoting unity and school pride. Also, we aim to develop a positive image for student-athletes through promoting the ideal of civic service and responsibility within the local community.

We ask for your help with the creation of this cookbook by your submission of three recipes. (You may submit more, but we ask no more than six).  We are really looking for family recipes or recipes indicative of heritage or geographic location; a true blend that will represent our demographics. Your submissions should include the name of the item, ingredients and measurements, instructions, and any special notes you would like to add about the item. We need all recipes no later than THURSDAY FEBRUARY 25th, 2010.

To make the submission process more convenient for you, we have three ways in which you can send in your recipes.

-First, we have set-up an online submission method which will allow you to send in your recipes from your computer. This can be done by going to: http://cookbookpublishers.com/utypeit/login.cfm    (username:   CantonRoos (case sensitive) and password: community )

-Second, if you prefer to send in your recipes by paper form, you can send them through intra-campus mail to the Athletics department/Chaney Hall.

-Third, you can email your submissions to moodyk@canton.edu

Please click here for a pre-order form, if you are interested in purchasing one (or multiple) cookbooks!!  Please submit order forms with payments no later than MONDAY MARCH 1, 2010 to utilize the pre-order pricing!  The cookbooks are scheduled to arrive in time for Mother’s Day!!

We look forward to the assembling of this cookbook and are excited about the potential it has on bringing our student-athletes and the community closer together. Thank you for your participation with this and we greatly appreciate your time and submissions.

Sincerely,
