Heather Lottie Had a 2-run Home Run against Vermont Tech
(Weston, Mass.)- Heather Lottie (Canton, N.Y.) and Jenifer Shaw (Helendale, Calif.) each homered to lead top-seeded SUNY Canton past No. 4 Vermont Technical College 13-0 in the opening round of the Sunrise Conference softball tournament at Regis College.

The Roos improved to 11-6 and will face No.2 Fisher College in the winner's bracket game on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Heather Lottie (Canton, N.Y.) blasted a two-run shot in the bottom of the first inning and Jenifer Shaw (Helendale, Calif.) went deep for a solo shot in the bottom of the third inning.

SUNY Canton stretched a 2-0 lead to 9-0 after two innings with a seven-run second on six singles.  The Roos tacked on two more in the third and one more in the fourth for the final margin.

Lottie finished 3-for-4 with four RBIs.  Shaw added two singles and Shelby McGraw (North Lawrence, N.Y.), Carolina Olivares (Adelanto, Calif.) and Colleen Rivers (Bay Shore, N.Y.) each laced three singles apiece.

Tina DeLuca (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) allowed just two hits in five innings to get her ninth win of the year.  She struck out four and didn't allow any walks.

Abby Fusco had three strikeouts in four innings for the Green Knights.

Men's Ice Hockey
Dave is honored this week after netting three goals in a 7-1 win over Canisius College on Jan. 27.

The freshman forward leads the Roos in goals (24) and hat tricks with three.
Elissa St. Germain
Women's Basketball
Elissa gets the nod as Roo of the Week after two solid road performances.

The freshmn notched her first career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in a 55-35 win over Vermont Technical College.  Elissa canned 8 of 10 free throws and also had two assists in the victory.  She also had three points and three rebounds the day before against the University of Maine at Augusta.
