Baseball Drops Two At Oswego 7-2 and 10-0

Matt Myers doubled twice on Tuesday against the Lakers
(Oswego, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton baseball team wrapped up their season on Tuesday dropping a doubleheader at Oswego State.  The Roos lost 7-3 and 10- to the Lakers to end the year at 3-26-1.

In the opener Matt Myers (Brandon, Vt. ) went 1-for-4 with a double and a run to lead the Roos.  Tom Darling (Oswego, N.Y.), Adam Levy (Penfield, N.Y.),Michael Zelyez (Brasher Falls, N.Y. ), and Jared Wallace (Canton, N.Y.) each had a single.

Matthew Fallon (Pierrefonds, Quebec) struck out three batters and gave up nine hits and our walks in 5 2/3 innings.  Dylan Gronowski (Buffalo, N.Y.) came on in relief and had one strikeout in 1/3 of an inning.

Dan Slate and Ryan Clements each doubled for the Lakers and Greg Shreders struck out four batters and allowed just two walks in six innings to get the win.

In the second game Levy surrendered 16 hits in six inning while walking two and striking out five.

Myers again doubled going 2-for-4.  Darling also doubled and Nate Besaw (Massena, N.Y.)and Bryan Duval (Norfolk, N.Y.) each added a single.

Slate added four more hits in the nightcap and scored four times.  Andrew Lazzaro went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and Jon Steven struck out eight batters in the win.

Men's Ice Hockey
Dave is honored this week after netting three goals in a 7-1 win over Canisius College on Jan. 27.

The freshman forward leads the Roos in goals (24) and hat tricks with three.
Elissa St. Germain
Women's Basketball
Elissa gets the nod as Roo of the Week after two solid road performances.

The freshmn notched her first career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in a 55-35 win over Vermont Technical College.  Elissa canned 8 of 10 free throws and also had two assists in the victory.  She also had three points and three rebounds the day before against the University of Maine at Augusta.
