Canton, NY – Christian Nazario-Cruz (Naguabo, Puerto Rico) of the baseball team and
Kelsey Morgan (Central Square, NY) of the softball team have been named Roos of the Week for the week ending March 8, 2015.
Nazario-Cruz went 6-for-10 from the plate with three walks lead the baseball team to a 2-2 record in a pair of doubleheaders against Medaille College and SUNY Oneonta on Saturday and Sunday. The sophomore finished the four games scoring six runs and driving in three more while also making some impressive defensive plays in the field.
Morgan threw a complete game four hitter in her first collegiate start to give the Roos their first win of the season in a 3-1 victory against Medaille College on Sunday. The freshman only gave up one run which was unearned and struck out three batters.
