2012 Season
Keara finished in the top three for the Roos in all eight races⦠She placed first on the team and fifth overall at the Cazenovia Homecoming Invitational with a time of 21:43 (5K) to lead the team to a fourth place showing⦠Her fastest 5K time of the season came in 20:51 at the CCOC Championships hosted by Hobart William Smith⦠Keara clocked a 26:07 time over the 6K course at the Hoffman Invitational.
High School
Keara was a three-sport athlete competing in cross country, track and Nordic skiing at Queensbury High School⦠She was a captain, individual state qualifier for Section 2 and two-time Foothills Council First Team All Star⦠Keara was a member of the QBY Regional & Federation cross country teams⦠During her senior year team took fifth at Eastern States meet and won Foothills Council Championships, Class A runner-up at sectionals⦠Keara made the Honor Roll & Principalās List all four years.

Born Sept. 10th, 1994 she is the daughter of Stacy Flaherty⦠Sister of Kindra and Kyle⦠Keara is a Veterinary Technology major.

Favorite Thing to Do with Your Free Time on Campus: When I have some free time I enjoy having movie nights with my friends, participating in outdoor activities and going for runs along the footbridges and around town.
What Makes You Unique: I am small but fierce!
Reason You Chose SUNY Canton: I chose SUNY Canton for its hands-on experience with animals in the Veterinary Technology Program because it is one of the best in the state of New York.Ā The professors of the Veterinary Technology Program go above and beyond to make learning about veterinary technology fun for all.Ā Also, SUNY Canton was still in the midst of creating a strong womenās cross country team.
Plans For After Graduation: My plans for after graduation include taking and passing the Boards exam for my license as a veterinary technician and to obtain a career working in a small, large or mixed veterinary office.Ā I love working with animals of all shapes and sizes.
