BY BUS:

Greyhound and Adirondack Trailways Inc. service Canton daily from all regions. For times and prices, contact your local bus station.

BY AIR:

Cape Air offers affordable flights connecting Albany with nearby Massena and Ogdensburg, 18 miles from Canton.

Other options include: Ottawa Airport, 1 1/2 hours away; and Syracuse Airport, 2 1/2 hours from Canton.

BY CAR:

FROM ALBANY:

I-87(the Adirondack Northway) north to Exit 23 (Warrensburg); Route 28 north to Blue Mountain Lake; Route 30 north to Tupper Lake; Route 3 west to Route 56 (Sevey's Corners); Route 68 west to Canton. About 4 hours.

OR

Take NYS Thruway (I-90) west to Utica, follow directions from Utica. About 4 hours.

FROM SYRACUSE:

I-81 North to Exit 48; Route 342 to Route 11; North on Route 11 to Canton; Route 68 West approximately 1/2 mile; campus entrance on right. About 2 1/2 hours.

FROM UTICA:

Route 12 North to Lowville; Route 26 North to Route 11; Route 11 North to Canton; Route 68 West approximately 1/2 mile; campus entrance on right. About 2 1/2 hours.

FROM PLATTSBURGH:

Route 374 West to Route 11; Route 11 South to Canton; Route 68 West approximately 1/2 mile; campus entrance on right. About 2 hours.

FROM NEW YORK CITY:

To Albany via I-87, then from Albany as detailed above. About 6 1/2 hours.

FROM OTTAWA AIRPORT:

Departing Ottawa Airport turn left onto Uplands Drive. At intersection for Hunt Club Road turn left. Follow Hunt Club until exit at Prince of Wales Drive. Take exit for Highway 416 which will turn into Highway 16 before reaching the border. You will then cross the bridge and go through United States Customs.

After crossing the bridge you will come to a "T" in the road. Turn right and proceed about 2 miles. You will go through two traffic lights and at the third traffic light turn left on to Route 68. A car dealership is at this intersection.

Follow Route 68 Canton-Ogdensburg Road straight into Canton. The College is on your left.

Carolina Olivares
Softball
Carolina gets the nod after batting an impressive .882 in a four-game sweep of Vermont Technical College.  

The junior was named the Sunrise Conference Player of the Week after she belted three doubles and two triples, drove in 15 runs and scored 10 times.  

She went 4-for-4 twice, the second time finishing with seven RBIs, and she had four hits in three out of the four games.

Olivares leads the conference batting .594.  She is second in triples (2), third in RBIs (16) and tied for fifth in doubles with three.

Matthew receives the award after batting .667 in six games this week finishing with five RBIs and four runs.  

He was named the Sunrise Conference Player of the Week after going 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs in a 6-5 loss to St. Michael’s College.  He also went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple and two runs in an 8-5 win over Vermont Technical College.

In addition he struck out eight batters and allowed just five hits in another 11-1 win over the Green Knights.

Fallon is batting .393 with four doubles, a triple and five RBIs.  He's one of the top pitchers in the conference as he is second in both strikeouts (18) and opponents batting average (.234) and third in both earned-run average (6.04) and innings pitched (22.1).
