Welcome to the SUNY Canton Fitness Center.  The Fitness Center is located on the bottom level of Chaney Dining Hall and has a large variety of equipment to fit your workout needs. With a combination of cardio machines, resistance training machines, free weights, and stability accessories, the Fitness Center has something for everyone!

Whether you are training for a sport; looking to lose a few pounds; trying to get bigger, faster, or stronger; or just want to add some physical activity to your day, the Fitness Center is a great place to do so. Working out your body through cardiovascular training, resistance training, or a combination of the two, can not only help you reach your physical fitness goals, but can also have great health benefits such as a healthier heart, injury prevention, lower cholesterol, and stress reduction.

By identifying your fitness goals, you can perform workouts that will cater to your specific needs and wants.  Please click on the link below to choose your Fitness Center membership.  Full-time SUNY Canton students may use the Fitness Center for no additional charge as it is included in their college bill.








All new members of the SUNY Canton Fitness Center must complete an orientation session before using the facility.  Click on the link below to begin the orientation.

Athletes of the Week
Matthew Fallon
Baseball
Matthew receives the award after batting .667 in six games this week finishing with five RBIs and four runs.  

He was named the Sunrise Conference Player of the Week after going 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs in a 6-5 loss to St. Michael’s College.  He also went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple and two runs in an 8-5 win over Vermont Technical College.

In addition he struck out eight batters and allowed just five hits in another 11-1 win over the Green Knights.

Fallon is batting .393 with four doubles, a triple and five RBIs.  He's one of the top pitchers in the conference as he is second in both strikeouts (18) and opponents batting average (.234) and third in both earned-run average (6.04) and innings pitched (22.1).

Softball
Carolina gets the nod after batting an impressive .882 in a four-game sweep of Vermont Technical College.  

The junior was named the Sunrise Conference Player of the Week after she belted three doubles and two triples, drove in 15 runs and scored 10 times.  

She went 4-for-4 twice, the second time finishing with seven RBIs, and she had four hits in three out of the four games.

Olivares leads the conference batting .594.  She is second in triples (2), third in RBIs (16) and tied for fifth in doubles with three.
