(Johnson, Vt.)- Johnson State College avenged a loss earlier this week to the SUNY Canton women's basketball team as they handed the Roos a 72-57 loss Saturday afternoon in Johnson, Vt.  The Roos (3-7) had beaten the Badgers 62-48 on Jan. 8 at home.

On Saturday SUNY Canton couldn't recover from a 39-28 halftime deficit in their final non-conference game of the season.  SUNY Canton did out rebound Johnson State  by a considerable margin, 42-27.

Shannon LaFave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) dropped in 24 points hitting 10 of 12 shots from the field to lead the Roos.  

Abbey Shoen (Waddington, N.Y.) added seven points, five rebounds and three assists and Heather Lottie (Canton, N.Y.) contribure six points and two boards.

The Badgers were led by Andrea Duel who poured in 15 points including three 3-pointers.  Christine Tatro chipped in with 12 points and three assists and Claudia Martineau contributed 10 points, seven rebounds and three blocks.
