(Fort Kent, Maine)- The SUNY Canton women's basketball team wrapped up their grueling three-game swing through Maine with an 81-51 loss to the University of Maine at Fort Kent Saturday afternoon. The Roos went 1-2 on the Maine trip and moved to 2-2 in the Sunrise Conference and 5-9 overall.
The Roos shot well from the floor hitting 40 percent of their shots, including 50 percent in the first half, but they couldn't overcome a 43-28 halftime deficit and 22 turnovers in the game.
Shannon LaFave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) came up three rebounds short of her third straight double-double finishing with 13 points and seven boards.
Jackie Sedlacek (Endicott, N.Y.) added 12 points and three steals and
Heather Lottie (Canton, N.Y.) chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.
Talisha Herring led the Bengals with 19 points, six rebounds and six assists. Morgan Chasse drained four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points and four steals.
